Hello! Today I am going share more about BSSM. BSSM stands for Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. It is a nine month long program focused on leadership training, and transformation of the individual.
Bethel is all about seeing people released into their God given identity and bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Some of their main values include love, honor, purity, and relationship. The whole focus of the school is to lead people to a place of thriving in the Lord, helping them to excel wherever God calls them to, and seeing healthy relationships and community established.
One of the biggest things I am excited for is the BSSM community. In my year alone, there will be one thousand students with tremendous diversity. Student ages range from eighteen to eighty, and there will be over sixty nationalities represented in my school. Out of these one thousand students, I will be placed in what they call a revival group. This group consists of approximately sixty-five people who will be mentored by a revival group pastor and third year students. I will also have an accountability group that will be about five to six women to meet with regularly.
I am already a part of a facebook group with my fellow students, and it has been amazing to see the love and interaction we all have with one another. People share their testimonies, struggles, highs, lows, and everything in between. I am ecstatic that I get to do life with these people for the next year.
During a normal week, we will have fifteen to twenty hours of classroom/lecture time, then fifteen to twenty hours of homework. On Fridays, the school does a community outreach day to serve the town of Redding and its people.
It is required of all students to go on two missions trips during the school year. The call to travel and reach the nations has always been big on my heart since I was a child so the mission trips excite me. I will also have the opportunity to join with Bethel’s dance team for weekly classes and encounter times. Along with those things there will be countless opportunities to pray, serve, and grow outside of my comfort zone and boundaries.
I am not sure where I will end up after this year goes by, but I do know that God has a pretty good idea where I will be. Bethel also offers BSSM year two and three after first year. There will be many great choices and avenues coming out of BSSM and I am excited to see where the Lord takes me.
Last thing, please pray for me and my fellow BSSM classmates. We are all responsible for finding our own living space, income, food, and transportation. While I trust in the Lord and His miracle working power, I also want to walk in wisdom and responsibility. God is going to provide in many ways, please pray that I have the wisdom and stewardship to do my part in His plan. Thank you.
From me to you,
