Hello! I thought I would make a short post to define some things about second year. What is different in Second Year versus First Year? Second Year is very much a continuation of First Year’s identity building and encountering the Lord. Like most schools, everything I learned in First Year will carry into my next year of school.
Some things that will be new is a greater focus on leadership, and there will be more opportunities to serve in that capacity. I will be diving deeper into theological study of the word and taking more ministry specific classes. There will also be more opportunities this year for national and international ministry trips. Let’s give a big woot woot for that!
One thing that I am really looking forward to about Second Year is how customizable my school year will be. I will be able to pick my own classes for each trimester and have a more personally applicable school experience. From what I understand, there will be dozens of classes to choose from each trimester. I will be able to choose from classes that range from intensive Bible study, to identity, to specific ministry fields, and many more. I am so thankful for Bethel’s resources. I can’t wait to glean from and be discipled by so many great teachers.
I once again will be a part of a revival group which consists of around fifty people. BSSM has a great focus on community and I am excited to continue that. In addition, Second Year has home groups which range from twelve to twenty people. This will give opportunities for deeper connection and peer to peer leadership.
I think what I am most looking forward to is continuing in the dance community. I will be on the Healing Rooms Dance Team again this year for my ministry position. There will also be weekly dance classes to attend.
That’s about it for now. My registration day is September 7th. As school starts I will post updates about the specifics of what I am doing and learning in school. Be blessed my friends.
From me to you,
